Over winter, just dig it over and leave it rough so that the weather can work on it.

There’s two schools of thought with North-South rows: one says the seedlings that are doing better should go at the back (North) because they need less help, other says the seedlings that are doing better should go at the front (South) so that they do even better, and devil take the hindmost.

Don’t grow anything exotic, like my gooseberries, because the thieves will always have more time than you and get up earlier.

Take it slow! One bed at a time or you’ll burn out. Treat it as an experiment.

Plan now and maybe start some rough works if needed then start sowing and planting come spring
